HYDERABAD: Tamil hero Siva Karthikeyan is in the prime stage of his career. His last two films, Don and Doctor, became blockbusters at the box office by collecting more than 100 crores. Now, he is eyeing a hat trick with his new film Prince. Directed by KV Anudeep of Jathi Ratnalu fame, Prince is made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film.

The theatrical trailer of Prince was unveiled recently. Going by it, the film looks like a comedy entertainer in the typical Anudeep style. There are one-liners and comedy punches throughout the trailer. In the film, Siva Karthikeyan comes from a family which opposes the caste and religious system. He then falls in love with a British girl. How his love story changes his life forms the main crux of the film.

To be honest, Prince looks more like a dubbed film than a bilingual flick. Including Siva Karthikeyan, almost all other actors are from Kollywood. Siva Karthikeyan hasn't even dubbed his lines in Telugu. Then, how can it be called a bilingual film?

Moreover, the comical lines in the trailer aren't very impressive. Anudeep shined with Jathi Ratnalu but Naveen Polishetty's impeccable performance also played a key role in its success. Recently, he wrote the story and screenplay for the film First Day First Show. It was a flop. Now, we have to see if Anudeep comes back hard with this movie or not. Prince is slated for a worldwide release on October 21.
