PS 1 Trailer: Visual Extravaganza

Veteran director Mani Ratnam is all set to release his dream project Ponniyin Selvan. The first part of the series, PS 1, will have a worldwide release on September 30. The trailer and audio launch event of the film was held last night in Chennai. The much-awaited theatrical trailer increases the hype around the movie.

This three-minute-long trailer gives us a glimpse of what a visual epic PS 1 is going to be. It introduces us to the lead characters of the film who belong to the Chola dynasty. The power politics between these characters to claim the throne form the main crux of the movie.

Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the key roles in the film. Aishwarya Rai will be seen as an antagonist. The trailer is filled with beautiful shots composed by cinematographer Ravi Varman. The background score by AR Rahman also stands out. We can see Vikram, Karthi and Jayam Ravi performing a few incredible war sequences as well. On the whole, Ponniyin Selvan seems to be a larger-than-life epic that ought to be seen on the big screen.
