Pune Film Institute: Govt appoints R Madhavan as President

HYDERABAD: Renowned actor R Madhavan, who recently received widespread acclaim for his performance in the film "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect," has been appointed as the new president of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. The government of India has officially confirmed the same on social media.
The announcement of R Madhavan's appointment was made by the Information & Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur through a social media post. The minister congratulated and trusted Madhavan's abilities to lead the institute.
In response to the announcement, Madhavan expressed his gratitude and commitment, saying, "Thank you so very much for the honor and kind wishes @ianuragthakur Ji. I will do my very best to live up to all the expectations."
