Puri Musings: When Puri Jagan yelled at Rakshitha on sets

HYDERABAD: Director Puri Jagannath does a podcast series with title "Puri Musings". He tries to tell the philosophies of life through these audio clips. Often, Puri also gives his real-life experiences as examples. Recently, he did a podcast about the importance of Reactions.

Puri says that how we react to a situation can impact our personality. He adds that reacting positively to any kind of issue is the best thing to do to keep our minds sane and peaceful. He gave an example of his experience with heroine Rakshita on the sets of Idiot.

Puri said, "While we were shooting for an emotional scene in Idiot, Rakshita was supposed to cry. But she is laughing. Her emotions aren't matching in multiple takes. I got frustrated and shouted at her. I told her that I won't write her a character in my next film if she doesn't perform well."

Generally, many people get upset or bunk-shoot the next day or cry on the sets if they get scolded by the director. But Raskhita's reaction was different. She said, "I am going to kill you if you are not writing a character for me in your next film. I will act in your next 10 films. Now, clearly tell me what you want me to do?"

Apparently, Puri was shocked by Rakshita's response and burst into laughter. He didn't expect her to react in such a positive and funny way. He says such is the power of a reaction. You can hear the podcast here.
