HYDERABAD: Ram Charan got nationwide stardom with his blockbuster film RRR. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this action epic featured Jr NTR in the other lead role. Both Charan and NTR became pan-India stars after the stupendous success of RRR.
Recognizing his talent and stardom, NDTV presented Ram Charan with the 'True Legend- Future of Young India Award in Entertainment' award last night. Every year, this award is presented to prominent personalities in various fields, recognizing their contribution to their respective professions.
Upon receiving the award, Charan said that his father Chiranjeevi deserves it more than him. Charan also shook a leg with the hosts for the popular track from RRR, Naatu Naatu. Apart from this award, Charan was also conferred by BSF recently and was also invited by Hindustan Times for its Leadership Summit.
Currently, Charan is acting in his next film under the direction of Shankar. Recently, the makers wrapped up the shoot of a song in New Zealand. Kiara Advani plays the female lead in it. Apart from this movie, Charan also announced a new project with director Buchi Babu Sana of Uppena fame.
