Ram Charan to act in this biopic?

Mega Power Star Ram Charan got international popularity with his recent film RRR. Many North Indian audiences as well as the USA film fans fell in love with Charan's performance as Alluri Seetha Ramaraju. He is currently acting in RC 15, which is being directed by Shankar. It will also have a pan-India release.

Meanwhile, we now hear that Charan is being flooded with offers from the North after RRR. Apparently, one of them is the biopic of Maharaja Suheldev.

For the unversed, Suheldev is believed to have lived c.1000 AD. According to history, when Muslim invaders are sweeping through India, Suheldev formed an army with the help of various tribes including Tharu and Banjara. He led that army to attack the Muslim invaders, led by Ghazi Salar Masud. It is said that Suheldev also successfully killed Ghazi in the war.

We still don't know if Charan accepted this offer or not. But, if we look at the historical dramas that were released in the recent past, none of them is managing to attract audiences. The younger generation is also not showing much of an interest to watch these movies.

We all know how Samrat Prithviraj tanked at the box office. The same is the case with Mohanlal's Marakkar. Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Gautamiputra Shatakarni were hits but not huge successes. Amidst this trend, it has to be seen if Charan accepts this offer or not.
