Ram Charan's 'Zanjeer' director claims that the RRR actor won't pick his calls
However, Ram Charan has not been responding to his phone calls recently, and Apoorva speculates that it might be due to a change in his phone or other reasons
HYDERABAD: Mega Powerstar Ram Charan's decision to remake Amitabh Bachchan's 'Zanjeer' in 2013, under the direction of Apoorva Lakhia, turned out to be a major misstep, and the film was heavily criticized and failed at the box office. Despite the film's result, Apoorva Lakhia claims that his relationship with Ram Charan was unaffected.
The director revealed that he considers Ram Charan a good friend and has visited him at his house in Hyderabad several times. However, Ram Charan has not been responding to his phone calls recently, and Apoorva speculates that it might be due to a change in his phone or other reasons.
Apoorva Lakhia recalled an incident when Ram Charan had called him from Ukraine and asked if he could help shoot some action sequences for RRR. Due to his prior commitments, Apoorva couldn't go, and since then, there has been limited communication between them. Although Ram Charan occasionally calls him, he doesn't answer Apoorva's calls.
Apoorva Mehta began his career as an assistant to renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker and worked on projects like 'Lagaan'. He directed films such as 'Dus Kahaniyaan,' 'Mission Istaanbul', 'Shootout at Lokhandwala', and 'Haseena Parkar.'
