Release date locked for Naga Chaitanya's OTT debut 'Dhootha'

HYDERABAD: Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is set to make his digital debut with the web series "Dootha," and the release date has been confirmed for December 1.

The series will be available on Amazon Prime in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. The series comprises eight episodes produced by Sharad Marar and directed by Vikram K. Kumar.

Despite completing the shooting, there has been limited publicity and updates on social media. The cast includes Naga Chaitanya in the lead role, along with Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, and Tarun Bhaskar in important roles.

Vikram K. Kumar, who previously worked with Naga Chaitanya on films like "Manam" and "Thank You," is directing the series. The project has got delayed for a long time, and it is finally releasing now.

In addition to his digital debut, Naga Chaitanya is working on a film under the direction of Chandu Mondeti, where he will be paired with Sai Pallavi. The film, tentatively titled "Tandel," is set against the backdrop of the lives of fishermen and is being produced by Vasu under the Geetha Arts banner.
