Release date of Veera Simha Reddy gets confirmed

HYDERABAD: We are almost a month away from the Sankranthi festive season. Slowly, the release dates of the films that are competing in the festive race are being announced. Nandamuri Balakrishna is the first one to announce his arrival.

Balayya's latest film Veera Simha Reddy will be released on January 12, 2023. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, this action drama is in the final stages of its shoot. The official release date was announced through a new poster.

It is heard that Thalapathy Vijay's Vaarasudu will also hit the screens on January 12. So, Balayya has to take on Vijay on the release day. On the other side, Megastar Chiranjeevi got a solo release date. His film Waltair Veerayya will be released on January 13. An official announcement is expected to be made soon.

Both Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya are being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. This is the first time in the history of Telugu cinema that two films of the same banner are clashing against each other during the Sankranthi festive season. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Veera Simha Reddy features Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Duniya Vijay and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar play pivotal roles in it. Thaman is composing the music for the film.
