HYDERABAD: There is no stopping for SS Rajamouli's RRR. It is creating a storm at the box office in every territory it entered since its release. After collecting more than 1000 crores in India, the film showed its prowess in the USA. The Hollywood folks were amazed by RRR and are currently rooting for it in the upcoming Oscars.

Meanwhile, RRR was released in Japan in October this year. Rajamouli's previous films Baahubali and Baahubali 2 did exceptionally well in Japan. Thus, there were high expectations around RRR as well. Living up to the hype, the movie opened in a massive way across Japan.

In less than two months of its release, RRR became the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. It has now broken the 24-year-old record of Superstar Rajinikanth's Muthu. Recently, RRR crossed 400 million Yen (equals to Rs. 24.10 crores) and surpassed Muthu's collections of Rs. 23.50 crores.

The film is still going strong across the Japanese region and we have to see how much more it will earn at the box office. RRR is a period action drama which features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
