HYDERABAD: Ahead of the Oscars campaign, RRR actor Ram Charan left for the USA recently. When he was spotted at the Hyderabad airport, the actor was seen in black dress as he took up Ayyappa Swamy deeksha. But, in the recent pictures that surfaced online, we could see Ram Charan getting into his usual outfits.
Ram Charan recently appeared on ABC network's Good Morning America 3 show and attended other events in New York City, where he was praised for his dapper style. However, some fans were upset, believing that he had abandoned his Swamy Mala avatar when he arrived in the city.
Charan's team clarified that he had completed his 21-day 'mandala' deeksha upon landing in the USA and had gone to a temple in New York to complete the concluding formalities. They added that Charan practices this Deeksha multiple times every year, and it was not an instant decision.
Therefore, the star hero of RRR did not abandon his religious practice and continued with it while attending his international events. His appearance in the USA took place just before the Oscars fever officially began.
The other team members of RRR are expected to make their presence in the USA soon to kick-start the promotional campaign. RRR received a nomination for the Best Song - Naatu Naatu.
