HYDERABAD: RRR's Naatu Naatu has become a global sensation in the last few months. The craze went so far that it ended up winning the Best Original Song award at the recently held Golden Globes. This win made Naatu Naatu further popular.
Meanwhile, many people are unaware that this song was shot at Ukraine's President's residence. The shoot happened just a few months before the war broke out between Ukraine and Russia. Naatu Naatu was picturized at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's official residence, Mariinsky Palace.
Speaking in an interview, Rajamouli said that, luckily they got permission to shoot at that location as the Ukrainian president was a television actor. Not only Naatu Naatu but a few other scenes were also shot in the city of Kyiv in Ukraine.
The Mayor of Ukraine's capital Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, played a vital role in bringing permissions for RRR's shoot. Now, he is one of the biggest targets after Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Anna Palenchuk, who also worked for RRR, took up arms when the war broke out.
Meanwhile, Naatu Naatu is also shortlisted for the upcoming Oscar Awards. The final nominations for the Academy Awards will be out on January 24.
