Samantha Ruth Prabhu skips Shakuntalam promotions after falling sick

Samantha, who had recently recovered from Myositis, was actively involved in the promotional campaign of Shakuntalam until recently. However, as the film approaches its release on April 14th, she has fallen ill and is unable to attend the final leg of promotions in Delhi.

Gunasekhar, the director of the film, revealed that Samantha is suffering from a high fever and has lost her voice, and is currently resting at home. Despite her excitement about the promotions, the hectic schedule seems to have taken a toll on her.

The makers of Shakuntalam are holding a social screening of the film for BJP's top leadership, including the party chief JP Nadda, but due to Samantha's absence, Dil Raju will be the only representative from the team.

Taking to her social media profile, Samantha tweeted that she is unwell. "I was really excited to be amongst you all this week promoting my film and soaking in your love. Unfortunately, the hectic schedules and promotions have taken its toll, and I am down with a fever and have lost my voice." wrote Samantha.

Shakuntalam is hitting the screens on the 14th of this month.
