Samantha's Shaakuntalam gets a release date

Director Gunasekhar's ambitious project Shaakuntalam gets a release date. This morning, it was officially announced that this mythological drama will hit the screens on November 4, 2022. It will have a pan-India release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

Gunasekhar revealed the release date through a motion poster. Along with the motion poster, he wrote, "Witness the #EpicLoveStory #Shaakuntalam in Theatres from Nov 4th 2022 Worldwide! #ShaakuntalamOnNov4." The poster features the film's lead actors Samantha and Dev Mohan in an aesthetic pose.

Shaakuntalam got done with its shooting earlier this year. Currently, the post-production works are going on at a rapid pace. The promotions are expected to kickstart soon. The story revolves around the love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant from Mahabharata.

Shaakuntalam marks the debut of Allu Arjun's daughter Allu Arha. It also features Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr. M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla and Jisshu Sengupta in the other pivotal roles. Dil Raju is presenting the project. Mani Sharma composed the music. Shekar V Joseph handled the cinematography. Neelima Guna bankrolled the movie under the banner Gunaa Team Works.
