HYDERABAD: Sankranthi is one of the festival seasons that actually caters to almost every sector of business to get worked out. Especially, films. There's a reason why big stars traditionally follow the sentiment of having a "Sankranthi film" every year, and the last healthy season we had was in 2020.
'Sarileru Neekevvaru', 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' & 'Entha Manchivaadavuraa' were released, and all of them managed to get a good talk.
Needless to say, 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' went on to become an industry hit. It was Thaman who composed for 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' & Devi Sri Prasad composed music for 'Sarileru Neekevvaru'.
Now the braces are on for each other, this time for 'Waltair Veerayya' and 'Veera Simha Reddy'. While Devi is composing for Chiru, Thaman is composing for Balayya.
Needless to say, they both have a history of hit combinations, and now both the hot combinations are up for competition. Although no audio singles were released into the market, the background score from the teasers marked the beginning of the competition.
It was Thaman who took the cup home for 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' last time. We just have to wait & hope Devi scores one this time.
