HYDERABAD: Veera Simha Reddy and Waltari Veerayya are two straight films hitting the screens for Sankranthi 2023. Dil Raju is bringing Varisu as well to the theatres and there is an issue going on among the distributors about allocation of theatres for the Sankranthi releases.

The Telugu Film Producers Council has already issued a statement that the distributors should give importance to the straight Telugu films and not give importance to dubbing films, indirectly hitting at Dil Raju who is trying to give maximum theatres for his film Varisu.

Meanwhile, Dil Raju has a different version to say. He claimed that he had announced the film's release date, much before everyone claimed their berths for the Sankranthi season. He also assured that the division of theatres will be done equally for all the films.

In the middle of this, Vizag Film Distribution Association has issued a letter to local exhibitors mentioning that they should only prioritize Telugu films but not dubbing films.

"The association had extensively discussed the need to prioritize Telugu films during the festival seasons. Exhibitors are hereby requested to do the needful and give top preference to Telugu films during the festival season" the letter read.

We have to see how the issue is turning into, in the coming days.
