Shocker: Godfather didn't release in Chennai

Megastar Chiranjeevi's much-awaited flick Godfather has hit the screens today. There are high expectations around this film as the promos and trailers looked promising. Meanwhile, Mega fans in Chennai are disappointed because the film hasn't released in the city.

This is indeed a shocking move as there are many Telugu people residing in Chennai. Generally, Telugu films get a good opening in the city and thus, makers release them on a big scale. Moreover, the film's production house Mega Super Good Films is based in Chennai and has a wide base among theatres. Thus, fans are highly disappointed when they realized that Godfather is not released in Chennai.

Meanwhile, it is being heard that as the Tamil version will be released in a few days, the makers decided not to release the Telugu version in Chennai. However, we didn't get any official word for the makers yet.

Directed by Mohan Raja, Godfather features Nayanthara, Satya Dev and Salman Khan in the other pivotal roles. It is an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. Thaman composed the music for it.
