HYDERABAD: Renu Desai, who has been absent from the silver screen for nearly two decades, is making her long-awaited return to acting with Ravi Teja's "Tiger Nageswara Rao." While promoting the film, she revealed an interesting tidbit about her career.
Renu Desai disclosed that she had been offered a role in Mahesh Babu's recent film, "Sarkaru Vari Pata," where she would have played the role of a bank officer.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, she stated, "I got an opportunity in the movie 'Sarkaru Vari Pata.' I was asked for the role of a bank officer. I liked that role very much. I wanted to act. For some reason, it didn’t work out. I cannot say those reasons because controversy will be created unnecessarily. The truth is to be told. But it feels better to be calm."
Sarkaru Vaari Paata had Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role. The film also featured Samuthirakhani, Tanikella Bharani, Nagababu, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore and others. Parasuram directed the movie.
In "Tiger Nageswara Rao," Renu plays the character of Hemalatha Lavanam, the daughter of Gurram Joshua. The film also features Nupur Sanon, Gayatri Bharadwaj, Murali Sharma, and others in key roles.
