Singham director Rohit Shetty injured in an accident in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Popular Bollywood director Rohit Shetty was injured here in the outskirts of Hyderabad while shooting for his web series “Indian Police Force” on Saturday. The accident happened while shooting a car chase scene at Ramoji Film City for the series. It’s reported that he sustained an injury on his arm and was immediately taken to Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar. Doctors at Kamineni performed a minor surgery on his injured arm and the director was discharged soon after the surgery’s success.

Previously, the lead of the show Siddharth Malhotra was also injured in similar fashion while shooting for his series in Goa in May last year. Rohit Shetty’s previous venture “Cirkus” didn’t perform well at the box office. Now, he is making his debut on OTT platform with “Indian Police Force” for which a huge set has been erected at Ramoji Film City. The show boasts of high octane action and chase sequences. This is also going to be Siddharth Malhotra’s OTT debut.

Other stars of the show include Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. The show will soon be streaming on popular OTT platform Amazon Prime.
