'Sirivennela' actor played a key role in Godfather

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather will hit the theatres in a week. Directed by Mohana Raja, this film features stalwarts like Nayanthara, Salman Khan and Satya Dev in major roles. Now, it is revealed that a veteran actor played the role of Chiru's father in the movie.

He is Sarvadaman D. Banerjee, who is best known for his work in Sirivennela. Directed by K. Vishwanath, Sirivennela was a big success in 1986. The songs of the film are still loved by many Telugu audiences. People recognize Sarvadaman's face through this flick.

After Sirivennela, he was seen in Swayam Krushi. Later, he acted in Hindi television serials like Krishna and Om Namah Shivay. He was last seen in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Recently, it was revealed that Sarvadaman played a key role in Godfather. He will be seen as the Chief Minister who dies in the first scene of the movie. Chiru and Nayanthara play the roles of his children.

It is a very small but important role in the movie. Bringing back Sarvadaman Banerjee will also give a nostalgic feel to the audience. Godfather will hit the screens on October 5.
