HYDERABAD: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is ready to grace the silver screen again with his upcoming film "Jawan." Directed by the renowned Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" has been making waves in the entertainment industry with its star-studded cast and high-octane action sequences. Meanwhile, the film's plot is trending viral on the internet and hints that Atlee will offer a proper commercial potboiler in his Bollywood debut.
The following is reportedly the story of Jawan:
An emotional journey of a man set to rectify the wrongs in society in an attempt to get even with his past, driven by a personal vendetta while keeping up to a promise made years ago. A high- octane action thriller where he is up against a dreadful monstrous outlaw who knows no fear and has caused extreme suffering to many. In the journey, he will cross paths with a high-minded seasoned lady officer whose emotions might get the better of her as she gets involved in this battle. As his past catches up with him, to overcome the challenges and restore harmony in their world, he will need all the firepower and intelligence to do so.
On the other hand, "Jawan" has been granted a U/A (under adult supervision) certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film's runtime has been reported to be approximately 2 hours and 49 minutes.
Directed by Atlee Kumar in his Bollywood directorial debut, "Jawan" stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, with one of his characters taking on a negative shade. The film also features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, and more. Deepika Padukone is set to make a special appearance in the movie.
Produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment by Gauri Khan, "Jawan" is gearing up for a theatrical release on September 7. The film will hit the screens in Hindi and dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions.
