HYDERABAD: Superstar Rajinikanth is set to make a special appearance in his daughter Aishwaryaa's directorial film Lal Salaam. The legendary actor's look already went viral on social media when it was released. Now, the actor shared his excitement as he shared screen space with the iconic cricketer Kapil Dev, who reportedly plays a role in the film.

Rajinikanth shared a candid picture with Kapil Dev from the sets of Lal Salaam, which were being shot in Mumbai. In the photo, the two legends can be seen engaged in a conversation. Kapil Dev is seen in a casual white polo t-shirt and grey pants, while Rajinikanth sported an all-white look, possibly for his role as Moideen Bhai in the film.
Lal Salaam marks Aishwaryaa's return to direction after a gap of seven years. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, and Lyca Productions are producing it. The highly anticipated movie, which features music composed by the Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman, is scheduled for release in 2023.
