HYDERABAD: Kollywood star Suriya is gearing up for his next film. He is currently busy shooting for "Kangua" and will once again collaborate with Sudha Kongara, the director of the hit film "Soorarai Pottru" (known as "Akasam Nee Haddura" in Telugu). Their previous collaboration was a massive success, and their new project, tentatively titled "Suriya 43," has generated significant interest.

Suriya and Sudha Kongara were planning to work on a film last year, but finally, it is happening now. Based on the glimpses of the film released by the makers, it appears to be inspired by real events in Tamil Nadu and set against a gangster backdrop. A few say that the film is going to have a period setup about the anti-Hindu movement.

Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Varma, Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim have been cast in pivotal roles. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash, and it is his 100th movie.

Sudha Kongara and Suriya's previous film, "Soorarai Pottru," received critical acclaim and even won a National Award for Best Feature Film. Sudha Kongara is currently remaking the film in Hindi, with Akshay Kumar in the lead role and Suriya making a special appearance.
