Suriya's Kanguva to shoot action sequences in Kadapa

HYDERABAD: Versatile actor Suriya is set to star in the highly anticipated period action film "Kanguva." During the shooting of a fight scene, a manually operated rope camera attached to two ropes suffered a cut and headed toward Suriya around 1:30 AM on November 23, 2023. The actor noticed the incident and moved in time to avoid the camera hitting his head.
However, Suriya sustained a shoulder injury in the process, leading to a halt in the filming. "Kanguva" is a periodical action film directed by Siva, with Disha Patani playing the female lead. KE Gnanavelraja produces the film.

The first part of "Kanguva," set to be released in two parts, is scheduled for an April release. The film will be presented in 10 languages, including a 3D version. Gandikota in Kadapa district, known as the Grand Canyon of India, has been a popular shooting location for various films, including "Indian 2" and "Bharateeyudu 2" earlier this year.
