Techie nabbed by police from Guntur for deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna

Guntur: A couple of months ago, a deepfake video featuring actress Rashmika Mandanna went viral on social media, sparking concerns about the privacy of celebrities. Finally, the Delhi Police arrested the individual responsible for creating this controversial deepfake video.
The culprit is identified as Eemani Naveen, a 24-year-old techie from Pedanandipadu in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, currently working in Chennai. Following the arrest, the police confiscated Naveen's laptop and mobile phone, and efforts are underway to recover deleted data from the hard disk.
According to the police, Naveen had been operating Rashmika's fan page for some time and, in an attempt to gain more followers, created the deepfake video. Additionally, Naveen manages fan pages for two other celebrities. Upon the release of the deepfake video, it faced significant backlash, with many condemning the use of deepfake technology.
After two months of investigation, the Delhi Police successfully caught the culprit. Rashmika thanked the Delhi police for apprehending the culprit.
