Thor: Love and Thunder opens big in India

Marvel Studios' latest film Thor: Love and Thunder opened to a huge response in India. Every Marvel movie enjoys massive openings in India and Thor: Love and Thunder is the latest addition to the list. It has now become the fifth-biggest Hollywood opening day grosser in the country.

Thor was released in more than 2800 screens across India. The wide release helped it in getting big numbers at the box office. According to the trade reports, it collected a nett. of Rs. 18.60 crores on the first day of its release.

Avengers: Endgame still remains the highest Hollywood opening day grosser in India with collections of Rs. 53.10 crores. Spiderman: No Way Home is in the second position (Rs. 32.67 crores). Avengers: Infinity War (Rs. 31.30 crores) and Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness (Rs. 27.50 crores) are in the third and fourth positions respectively.

Though it has been getting mixed reviews, Thor is expected to generate big numbers throughout the weekend. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder features Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. Christian Bale and Natalie Portman played other important roles in it.
