HYDERABAD: The Akkineni family is going through a deep crisis. All three heroes from the family, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil are disappointing their fans by scoring back-to-back disasters. It's high time for them to introspect their choice of scripts.
Nagarjuna has been going through a rough patch for a long time. His films like Wild Dog, Officer and The Ghost turned out to be big flops at the box office. In the middle of these films, he came up with Bangarraju but it was a below-average venture.
Naga Chaitanya's career is like a tipsy-topsy curve. If he scores one hit, he comes up with two flops. After Majili, he scored a decent hit with Love Story. Bangarraju was a below-average outing. After that, he came up with Thank You and Laal Singh Chaddha last year. Both movies ended up as colossal disasters. He pinned many hopes on Custody but even this movie became a flop.
On the flip side, Akhil has been trying hard to score a hit since his debut. Only Most Eligible Bachelor became a financially viable venture. Rest all films were flops. His recent flick Agent was his biggest disaster.
Meanwhile, Akkineni fans are expressing their disappointment with their matinee idols' film choices. They are requesting Nag, Chay and Akhil to be careful with their script selection at least from now on. Hope they are listening.
