HYDERABAD: Kiran Abbavaram made a promising debut with Raja Varu Rani Garu. He scored his first commercial success with SR Kalyanamandapam. Since then, he is only attempting to do commercial films than content-oriented flicks.
After SR Kalyanamandapam, Kiran came up with Sebastian PC 524, Sammathame and Nenu Meeku Baga Kavalsinavaadini. All these movies are panned by critics and audiences for their lack of novelty and for being rotten.
Currently, Kiran Abbavaram lined up multiple big projects with big production houses like Geetha Arts, Asian Group, AM Ratnam and Mythri Movie Makers. There is no doubt that these films get a wide release.
But what Kiran has to realize is that the sensibilities of audiences are changing. They are not encouraging films with band content even if they are made by big production houses. We have seen many big flicks failing at the box office in the recent past.
Audiences are craving good and unique content. The industry is in a transition phase. One good film is enough to make a mark rather than surviving by making multiple bad films on a trot. So, Kiran Abbavaram should focus on quality than quantity. As he is in the early stages of his career, he should carve a niche for himself by doing different kinds of films rather than sticking to the rotten commercial formula.
