Tollywood celebrates RRR's Golden Globe nomination

HYDERABAD: With every passing day, RRR is inching a bit closer to the Oscar dream. Until now, RRR won quite a few prestigious Hollywood Awards. Now, it is nominated for the upcoming Golden Globe Awards. This is indeed a pride moment for not only Telugu cinema but also Indian cinema.

The nominations for the 80th Golden Globe Awards were announced last night. RRR was nominated in two categories, Best Picture (Non-English) and Best Song (Naatu Naatu). Golden Globes are considered the second-best awards in the movie circuit.

Getting nominated for such prestigious awards itself is a big win. Now, everyone is rooting for RRR's win at the Golden Globes.

Celebrating the nomination, the film's lead hero Jr NTR tweeted, "Delighted that #RRRMovie has been nominated in two categories at the Golden Globe Awards! Congratulations to all of us... Looking forward."

Meanwhile, the film's director SS Rajamouli wrote, "Thanks to the jury at @goldenglobes for nominating #RRRMovie in two categories. Congratulations to the entire team…Thanks to all the fans and audience for your unconditional love and support throughout."

Baahubali actor Prabhas also congratulated the team by writing, "Feeling so proud as #RRR gets nominated for the #GoldenGlobes Awards. Hearty congratulations to @ssrajamouli garu, @jrntr, @alwaysramcharan and the entire team of @rrrmovie for this achievement."
