In a video posted on her Instagram Stories, she indirectly addressed recent allegations and denied any connections with producer KP Chowdhary, who was arrested in a drugs case.

Although Surekha Vani did not mention his name or the specific drug case, she expressed her anguish over the impact these allegations have had on her family.

Surekha Vani's plea emphasized that there is no truth to the recent accusations made against her. She highlighted the adverse consequences her family is facing as a result of these allegations, explaining that their personal and professional lives are being disrupted. She implored the media and the public to refrain from dragging them into controversies that can harm their careers and overall well-being.

Surekha Vani and her daughter were previously photographed attending a party where KP Chowdhary was present. The media channels have got a hold of these pictures and started circulating the news that they might also be involved in this drug case.

Ashu Reddy, whose name has come out has issued a clarity saying that she has no connection with the drugs case, and another actress Jyothi too issued a clarification that she is innocent.
