Tollywood: Sequel Trend Becomes Successful

There was a time in Tollywood when all the sequels turned out to be disasters at the box office. Despite being a sequel for a superhit film, so many sequel movies failed to live up to the expectations and ended up as disasters.

For example, movies like Shankar Dada Zindabad, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Kick 2, etc bombed at the box office. The time has finally changed, and we have been witnessing so many sequels becoming super hits at the box office.

It all started with Venkatesh's 'Drushyam 2' which came out as the sequel to a blockbuster thriller film 'Drushyam'. It exceeded expectations and became a bigger hit than the first part.

Also, the recently released 'Pelli SandaD' also ended up as a decent hit.

Venkatesh's multistarrer movie Varun Tej titled 'F3' which came out as a sequel for 'F2', also became a super hit.

Recently, Nikhil's 'Karthikeya 2' is also doing exceptionally well at the box office.

Now, the audience is expecting the same result from the upcoming sequels like Hit 2, Gudachari 2, DJ Tillu 2, Bimbisara 2, Kartikeya 3, and F4.
