Top Indian grossers of 2022

After being troubled by the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, theatres had a respite in 2022. We have also seen some biggest blockbusters at the box office this year. Meanwhile, here is a list of films that remained the highest grossers in Indian cinema so far in 2022.
1. KGF 2: This action-thriller had a dream run at the box office and collected more than Rs.1228.3 crores worldwide. It is currently the third-highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema.
2. RRR: SS Rajamouli's action epic also collected 1000 crores at the box office. With lifetime earnings of Rs.1131.1 crores, RRR is currently the fourth-highest grosser in Indian cinema history.
3. Vikram: Kamal Haasan's latest blockbuster Vikram is the third highest grosser of this year with earnings of more than Rs.400 crores.
4. The Kashmir Files: This small-budget film surprised everyone and collected more than Rs.344.2 crores at the box office.
5. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: The fifth highest grosser of this year with earnings of Rs.263.9 crores. Kartik Aaryan played the lead role in this horror comedy.
6. Beast: Thalapathy Vijay's Beast was a flop but collected more than Rs.227.3 crores at the box office.
7. Gangubai Kathiawadi: This Alia Bhatt film was a super hit in Bollywood and collected more than Rs.203.9 crores in its lifetime run.
8. Sarkaru Vaari Paata: Superstar Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata collected Rs.192.4 crores and remained the eighth highest grosser of this year.
