HYDERABAD:"Leo," starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has generated much fan buzz and anticipation. Scheduled to hit theaters on October 19, this film marks the second collaboration between the actor-director duo, following their 2021 action film, "Master." Recently, rumors about the film's audio launch began circulating, suggesting that political pressures were influencing the distribution rights of "Leo."
According to reports in Tamil media, the ruling party in Tamil Nadu, DMK, was allegedly pressuring the film's producer to grant distribution rights for the Chennai, Chengalpattu, North Arcot, and South Arcot regions of Tamil Nadu to Red Giant Movies, a production and distribution company owned by actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin.
In response to these rumors, the production house of "Leo," Seven Screen Studio, took to their social media platforms to issue a clarification. They stated, "Sir, this is to clarify that this news is not true.."
'Leo' features Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Priya Anand, and more. The film's music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi.
