HYDERABAD: Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay teamed up with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju for the film Varisu. It is gearing up for the Sankranthi release. It will have a simultaneous release in Telugu as Vaarasudu. Recently, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer of this much-awaited film.
Going by trailer, Vaarasudu looks like a family entertainer filled with necessary commercial elements. Vijay plays the role of a carefree guy who his father hates. How he becomes the heir of his father's business and deals with the enemies is the film's main crux.
We have seen multiple films with the same story and it proved to be a successful formula time and again. Even Vaarasudu may also fall under the same category. The film features an ensemble of cast which includes Rashmika Mandanna, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Kick Syam, Srikanth and Yogi Babu.
On the whole, Vaarasudu's trailer looks entertaining and it might become a perfect film for families during this Pongal. Thaman is composing the music for it. Vaarasudu is slated for worldwide release on January 11 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.
