HYDERABAD: Film celebrities are responding to a deepfake video featuring the popular actress Rashmika Mandanna, which has garnered widespread condemnation from prominent figures like Amitabh Bachchan, Naga Chaitanya, and many others.
Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda has also expressed his concerns about the morphed video, emphasizing the need for strict actions against the perpetrators.
Vijay Devarakonda conveyed his thoughts on the matter through his Instagram stories, stressing the importance of preventive measures to ensure such incidents do not recur. He called for establishing a dedicated cyber department capable of swiftly responding and taking action against those responsible for such heinous acts.
Deverakonda Vijay emphasized that stringent punishment for the culprits is essential to ensure the full protection of women. He shared these sentiments on his Instagram account.
In response to this serious incident, the central authorities have issued warnings on social media to deter such crimes. The center has directed that any such videos be removed from social media platforms within 36 hours and should not be visible anywhere.
Additionally, an advisory has been released to remind everyone of the regulations and rules in place. The Union Ministry of Electronics and Communication has also sent advisories to social media organizations, emphasizing the penalties and regulations associated with creating and disseminating deepfake videos.
