Viral: Students apply for leave to watch Cobra in theatres

Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra is all set to release tomorrow in both Tamil and Telugu languages. After a long time, he is coming back to the theatres and thus, there is huge anticipation built around the film. It is expected to take good openings, especially in Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, the students of St. Joseph's College in Tamil Nadu applied for leave by writing a letter to the principal, only to watch this film.

"Respected Principal, We the students of SJC belong to the department of Commerce. We need an official college holiday on 01-09-2022 as the release of the 'Cobra' movie because there are no tickets available on 31-08-2022. So kindly request you don't make any calls or messages. However, we are not going to come to college. Thank You! Yours obediently, Chiyaan's fans," the letter read.

This letter is now going viral all over social media. This is not the first time such letters landed on the internet. Earlier, similar letters were written for films like Kabali and 2.0.

Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Cobra features Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. Irfan Pathan and Roshan Mathew played other pivotal roles in it.
