HYDERABAD: Vishwak Sen pinned big hopes on his upcoming film VS11, which has been officially titled "Gangs of Godavari." Vishwak Sen will be portraying a gray character in this intriguing movie. The film is being presented by Srikara Studios, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Actress Anjali will play a significant role in the film alongside Neha Shetty as the female leads.
The talented director and lyricist Krishna Chaitanya is at the helm of this project. While Krishna Chaitanya has previously directed films like "Rowdy Fellow" and "Chal Mohan Ranga," his third venture materialized. However, now he is back with a promising story set in the backdrop of the 1980s Eluru and Godavari region, revolving around the theme of thugs and politics.
The movie's shooting is progressing well, with more than 50% completed.
Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas are expected to deliver another compelling and engaging film through this collaboration with Vishwak Sen.
However, there have been speculations and comparisons with an earlier project Krishna Chaitanya narrated to Nithin, which was initially titled "Powerpeta" - named after a locality in Krishna Chaitanya's hometown, Eluru (West Godavari).
The film's director and the production house assert that the story for Vishwak Sen's movie is entirely different from the one narrated to Nithin. Despite their assurances, the title "Gangs of Godavari" seems to suggest a connection to the earlier story.
