HYDERABAD: Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is set to release two films, "Vyuham" and "Sapatham," based on the politics of Andhra Pradesh. Both films are slated for release within a week, with "Vyuham" releasing on February 23 and "Sapatham" on March 1. RGV has unveiled a single trailer for both movies, giving audiences a glimpse into the intense political dramas.
In "Vyuham" and "Sapatham," RGV delves into the life events of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the political landscape of the state.
The trailer showcases the tumultuous journey of YS Jagan, depicting the challenges he faced from other political parties, alliances formed against him, and his triumph in becoming the Chief Minister after a significant victory in the 2019 elections.
The cast includes Ajmal as YS Jagan and Manasa Radhakrishna as YS Bharati, along with Dhanunjay Prabhune, Surabhi Padmavathy, Rekha Nirosha, Vasu Inturi, Kota Jayaram, and Elina Tuneja in pivotal roles.

However, these films have not been without controversy. There have been criticisms that leaders such as Telugu Desam Party's Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan are portrayed offensively. Telugu Desam Party Chief Secretary Nara Lokesh filed a petition in the Telangana High Court alleging that the film aims to humiliate Chandrababu Naidu.
