When Chiranjeevi saved this Tamil actor's life

HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi is a man of a golden heart. Whenever someone is in need, he will be on the frontline to support them. We have seen the philanthropy work he had done during the COVID-19 pandemic. Popular producer-actor Bandla Ganesh said that Chiranjeevi was the one who helped him when his condition was serious after getting diagnosed with COVID-19.

Now, Tamil actor Ponnambalam explained the greatness of Chiru in a recent interview. Ponnambalam is known for playing villain roles in Tamil and Telugu films. A few years ago, his health condition deteriorated and was in critical condition. No one came forward to help him.

That's when he called Chiru and told him that his kidney failed and he had to undergo an operation soon. Immediately, Chiranjeevi asked him not to worry and told him that he will get a call from Apollo Hospitals soon.

As promised, Ponnambalam got a call and he was admitted to the hospital. He thought that Chiru will give him 1-2 lakhs for the surgery. To his surprise, the hospital staff didn't even take the entry fees from him and Chiru bore the entire surgery cost of 40 lakhs. Ponnambalam said that he will be forever indebted to Chiru for this kind gesture.
