When Puri Jagannath wanted to make Deshamuduru with Venu Thottempudi

Venu Thottempudi used to be one of the bankable actors in the 2000s. He delivered many hits like Hanuman Junction, Swayamvaram, Chiru Navvutho and Kalyana Ramudu. For some reason, he had been staying away from films for almost a decade. Finally, he is making his comeback now. Venu played a pivotal role in Ravi Teja's upcoming film Ramarao on Duty.

Ahead of its release, he participated in Alitho Saradaga talk show. The actor revealed many unknown facts about his career and personal life in this interaction. The promo of the episode was unveiled the other day. In the promo, we can see Venu telling that he was supposed to be launched by Bharathi Raja but that didn't happen for some unknown reasons.

He also revealed that director Puri Jagannath initially wanted to make Itlu Shravani Subrahmanyam with him but that didn't happen as well. Apparently, Puri promised Venu that he will do Deshamuduru with him but in the end, it went to Allu Arjun.
