Worldwide Box Office: Adipurush gets a massive opening on the first day
Adipurush earned Rs. 150 crores gross on the first day and emerged as one of the biggest opening day earners in Indian cinema

HYDERABAD: Prabhas-starrer Adipurush was released yesterday amidst huge expectations. The film opened massively across the country, thanks to the terrific musical album and the 'Ramayana' factor. Adipurush earned Rs. 150 crores gross on the first day and emerged as one of the biggest opening day earners in Indian cinema.
According to the sources, Adipurush collected a gross of Rs. 60 crores in Telugu alone. It reportedly earned a gross of Rs. 45 crores in the Hindi belt (including all versions and outside South India). Adipurush remained the second biggest grosser on the opening day this year in Hindi, after Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan.
On the whole, Adipurush stands only next to RRR (225 crores), Baahubali 2 (214 crores) and KGF 2 (163 crores) in terms of the first day collections. Despite of the negative trends and poor promotional material, Adipurush managed to collect such huge money at the box office. Such is the star power of Prabhas.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush features Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in the other key roles. T Series Films and Retrophiles have jointly bankrolled the project.
