HYDERABAD: Director Santosh Shobhan made his debut as a child artist in the 2011 film Golkonda High School. Later, he debuted as a lead hero with Thanu Nenu. He acted in films like Paper Boy, Ek Mini Katha and Manchi Rojulochaie. All films ended up as flops.

Santosh recently came up with Like Share and Subscribe. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, this film featured Faria Abdullah as the lead heroine. Santosh pinned a lot of hopes on this movie. He promoted it aggressively on various platforms.

He also called Gandhi his favourite director of all time. But all his efforts went into vain as the film ended up as a box office flop. The audience rejected it right on the first day and the film eventually became a disaster.

Even though Santosh acted in half-a-dozen films, he is yet to establish himself as a bankable actor. He needs one big hit to increase his market value.

He is hoping he will get that much-needed success with his upcoming release Anni Manchi Sakunamule. Directed by Nandini Reddy, this film features Malavika Nair as the female lead. It is slated for a theatrical release this December. Let's see if Santosh can score a hit with it.
