Modi, YS Jagan, KCR, Chiranjeevi hail RRR Natu Natu’s Oscar victory
HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana YS Jaganmohan Reddy and K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), former chief minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela led a flood of congratulatory messages for ace film director SS Rajamouli, music director MM Keeravani and the entire team of RRR on winning the historic Oscar for original score for Natu Natu song.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy congratulated music director MM Keeravani, RRR director Rajamowli and the team for winning the coveted Osacar Award in the Original Song category for 'Naatu Naatu' which left music lovers foot tapping.
The song, written by Chandra Bose and rendered by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, had amplified the notations of a variety of genres with effect, pace, beat and depth fluttering the Telugu prowess on the International scale to create history.
He conveyed his best wishes to the entire unit for striking the Oscar chord with music to the ears of a global audience. The Award is an icing on the cake for India cinema which recently celebrated its centenary celebrations, YS Jagan hailed.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) expressed his joy at RRR's Natu Natu song winning the Oscar award in best original song category. He said that this achievement of a Telugu film proving its prowess on the world-stage and winning the most prestigious global award was a matter of great pride for all the Telugus around the world. KCR also observed that the lyrics of Natu Natu truly reflect the true Telangana culture, taste of the Telugus and the diversity of their lifestyles.
KCR specially congratulated famous lyricist Chandra Bose, native of Challagarige village of Chityal mandal in Jaya Shankar Bhupalapalli district, who brought out profoundly the beauty, sweet and bitterness of the Telugu language though Naatu Song.
The BRS supremo congratulated music director MM Keeravani, director Rajamouli, singers Rahul Sipliganj and Kalabhairava, actors Ram Charan, Jr NTR, choreographer Prem Rakshit, film producer DVV Danayya and other technicians who were involved in the composition.
Chanrababu Naidu, in a tweet, said: “‘Naatu Naatu’ has sealed its place in history by winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the Oscars. This is probably the finest moment for Indian Cinema and Telugus achieving it is even more special.” He congratulated SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, lyricist Chandrabose, singers Rahul Sipliganj and Kaala Bhairava and choreographer of the song Prem Rakshith.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too congratulated the RRR team on this momentous occasion.
An elated Chiranjeevi, sharing his feelings with the media soon after the announcement, said that it is a proud moment for the Telugu and Indian cinema and all the Indians. While congratulating the RRR team led by SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani, he felt that this highest honour had increased the responsibility on the Telugu and Indian film industry.
