15 injured in Karachi bakery fire mishap, CM for better treatment to affected
Eight of the injured have been shifted to DRDO Hospital at Santosh Nagar for better treatment.
HYDERABAD: As many as 15 workers mostly from Uttar Pradesh received burn injuries in a fire accident at the Karachi Bakery’s manufacturing unit located at Gaganpahad in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Eight of the injured have been shifted to DRDO Hospital at Santosh Nagar for better treatment.
According to police, the fire erupted due to a gas leak in the pipeline triggered by the overheating of the oven used in baking the food items. The police received a call from the baking unit at around 10.44 am. They rushed a fire tender to the spot by that time the fire subsided.
Later police filed an FIR in which they said that the accident occurred due to negligence of the Karachi bakery owners. “This incident occurred due to the negligence of the owners of the Karachi Bakery. They did not take any precautionary measures about the gas pipelines and there were no emergency fire exits for the workers to escape.

11. Pramod Kumar aged 19 yrs,
12. Sandeep Kumar aged 35 yrs
13. Sunny aged 20 yrs
14. Pradeep aged 27 yrs
15. Sujith aged 19 yrs

Meanwhile, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the fire mishap at the Karachi Bakery manufacturing unit. He urged the principal secretary of health to provide all necessary help to the workers and ensure the best treatment for the injured.
