AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi asks Revanth Reddy to deny his links with RSS

HYDERABAD: AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi Friday launched a trenchant attack on Rahul Gandhi claiming his late father Rajiv Gandhi launched 'Shilanyas' and his campaign from there and fueled sentiment for the demolition of Babri Masjid.

AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi said, "Your dad has done ‘shilanyas’ and launched his campaign from there and he fomented sentiment for the demolition of the Babri Masjid. Is it an act of distribution of love (mohabbath ki dukaan)? Are #MumbaiRiots distribution of love?

"The one who gave Rs. 55,000 bribe is now talking about love. They have all the shops that distribute love, hatred and remaining muted. I was born in India; my father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and my grandfather’s grandfather were all born in India," he added.

Akbaruddin Owaisi challenged Congress leader Revanth Reddy to take oath at Bhagyalakshmi temple to deny his RSS links and accept that he was ashamed of being an alumnus of RSS.

He said, "Come to Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar and swear that you were never in RSS. And also take oath that you were ashamed of being an alumnus of RSS. Swear that you are an enemy of the RSS and that you would not honour Savarkar. Swear and say no."

He also asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as to where his mother was born.

“You are telling me I came from Maharashtra, I am asking where you came from. Where was your grandmother born? Owaisi questioned.
