HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police have intensified investigation into the shocking murder case of Apsara. On Friday, the accused Saikrishna was taken to the site where the heinous act took place in Narkuda in Shamshabad. The police meticulously reconstructed the scene of the murder, shedding light on the tragic events that unfolded.
Apsara was killed on June 10. She was in an extra-marital affair with Saikrishna, a priest at a temple in Saroornagar. Apsara got pregnant and pressured Saikrishna to get married. However, Saikrishna refused, fearing that his reputation would be lost.
On the day of the murder, Saikrishna and Apsara met at a park in Narkuda. Saikrishna strangled Apsara to death and then dumped her body in a manhole. He later filed a missing person's complaint with the police.
The police investigated the case and found that Saikrishna was the prime suspect and arrested him on June 12.
Consequently, he was apprehended and presented before the Ranga Reddy District Court. Saikrishna has been charged with murder and destruction of evidence. He is currently in judicial custody. The police are still investigating the case and are trying to find out if anyone else was involved in the murder.
