Assailants murder ragpicker after raping her in Nanakramguda

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a body of a woman in a decomposed state was found in an under construction building premises in Nanakramguda, Financial District in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Kasemma, a resident of Keshav Nagar Vaddera Basti, Gowlidoddy in Hyderabad. She was a ragpicker and had gone missing on August 25, after a dispute with her daughter with whom she was staying. After her disappearance, her family members lodged a missing person complaint with Gachibowli police on August 25.

Upon obtaining information about the incident from locals, a team of police personnel along with clue teams rushed to the spot to gather the evidence. The police are suspecting that Kasemma was raped and the accused threw a boulder on her head to kill her when she went there to collect the scrap. The body of the woman was shifted to postmortem.

The police registered a case and further investigations are underway.
