Begumbazar shop owner arrested for selling duplicate Maybelline products
According to police, Tabir was purchasing these duplicate Maybelline products from Mumbai. He then sold these items in his shop, portraying them as genuine Maybelline cosmetics.
HYDERABAD: The Commissioner's Task Force, East Zone team, along with Shahinayathgunj police, conducted a raid on a shop named '07 Stars Cosmetics' located in RK Plaza, Begumbazar on Wednesday and found that the owner was selling a huge consignment of branded cosmetics.
Based on credible information, a raid was conducted in which the owner, Tabir Ahmed Lasker (37), was apprehended for stocking 1,650 units of Maybelline Baby lip balms, 288 units of Maybelline Kajal, 97 units of Maybelline Fit Me powder, 68 units of Maybelline Fit Me Lipstick and nine units of Maybelline Fit Me Foundation.
The total value of the seized items was estimated to be around Rs 4,17,097.
According to police, Tabir Ahmed Lasker was purchasing these duplicate Maybelline products from Mumbai. He then sold these items in his shop, portraying them as genuine Maybelline cosmetics. Authorities warned that such duplicate products could be harmful and dangerous for use.
The accused, along with the seized duplicate cosmetics, was handed over to the Shahinayathgunj police for further legal action.
