BRS nominates Lasya Nandita's sister Nivedita for Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly by-poll

HYDERABAD: HYDERABAD: BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) decided on Sunday to nominate Nivedita, the younger daughter of Late Sayanna, as the candidate for the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency by-election.

The sitting MLA, Lasya Nanditha, passed away in a road accident on February 23, 2024. The by-election scheduled for May 13, 2024, was called following the passing of BRS MLA Lasya Nandita on February 23, 2024.

Following the death of her sister Lasya Nandita, Nivedita indicated a desire to contest in the Secunderabad Contonment Assembly by-election.

The Congress on April 6, 2024 nominated Narayanan Sri Ganesh as their candidate for the by-election in the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency.
