HYDERABAD: The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia's Mumbai office, Eddy Wardoyo, along with Endy K.I. Ginting, Consul (Protocol & Consular), and Muhammad Syafruddin Akhyar, Visa Officer, visited the University of Hyderabad on June 26, 2024, accompanied by Filzah Farhanah Hasibuan, a Ph.D. student from EFLU Hyderabad, and Farras Chaidar Rahman, a B. Tech student from NIT Warangal. Their purpose was to explore possibilities for collaboration.

Prof. Chetan Srivastava, Director of the Office for International Affairs at the University of Hyderabad, welcomed the Consul General and the delegates. He provided an overview of the university and its international collaborations, highlighting various potential avenues for cooperation with universities in Indonesia.

Prof. BJ Rao, Vice Chancellor of UoH, introduced the university, its courses, and research strengths to the delegates. He emphasized the cultural similarities between India and Indonesia, which facilitate collaboration and the exchange of students and faculty. Prof. Rao also discussed India's high-quality, affordable higher education.

Also present were Prof. M. Ghanashyam Krishna, Director of the Institution of Eminence; Prof. SL Sabat, Director of the R&D Cell; Prof. Alok Kumar Mishra, Associate Director of the Office for International Affairs; and Ashish Jacob Thomas, Public Relations Officer.
